Submission And Review System

ABGR has implemented a comprehensive Submission and Review System to manage the submission and peer review process effectively. Our system is designed to ensure transparency, efficiency, and clear communication among authors, reviewers, and editors. Here are the key components of our Submission and Review System:

Author Submission Portal

  • Authors access the Submission Portal through the Animal BioSphere website.
  • The portal provides clear instructions and guidelines for manuscript submission, including required file formats and manuscript preparation guidelines.
  • Authors can create accounts, submit their manuscripts, and track the status of their submissions.

Manuscript Management

  • Upon submission, manuscripts are automatically assigned a unique identifier and are logged into the system.
  • The system performs an initial check for compliance with formatting and ethical guidelines. Submissions that do not meet these requirements are flagged for revision by authors.

Editor Assignment

  • An Associate Editor or Editorial Board member is assigned to oversee the manuscript's peer review process.
  • Editors have access to a dashboard that displays their assigned manuscripts and their current status.

Reviewer Assignment

  • Editors select potential reviewers from a database of qualified experts with relevant expertise.
  • Reviewers are invited to review the manuscript, and they accept or decline the invitation through the system.

Double-Blind Peer Review

  • Reviewers evaluate manuscripts anonymously, ensuring a fair and unbiased assessment.
  • Reviewers use the system to submit detailed reviews, including comments, recommendations, and overall assessments.

Editor Decision

  • Editors make informed decisions based on reviewer feedback, author revisions, and their own assessments.
  • Decision options include Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject.

Author Communication

  • Authors receive email notifications and can access the system to view reviewer comments and editor decisions.
  • If revisions are required, authors submit revised manuscripts and responses to reviewer comments through the portal.

Reviewer Feedback

  • Reviewers can access the system to review author responses and revised manuscripts.
  • Reviewers provide final recommendations to the editor.

Editorial Workflow Tracking

  • The system tracks the entire editorial workflow, including submission dates, review progress, and decision timelines.
  • Editors can monitor and manage the status of manuscripts in their respective queues.

Publication Integration

  • Accepted manuscripts are seamlessly integrated with the publication platform for copyediting, typesetting, and publication.

Transparency and Reporting

  • The system generates reports and metrics to evaluate the efficiency and performance of the peer review process.

Animal BioSphere Submission and Review System is continually updated and optimized to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for authors, reviewers, and editors, enabling the timely publication of high-quality research in the fields of biology and genetics.
